Justice Prince - Local Conversation in Longbenton

20 November 2015

“This is just the best thing that’s ever happened to me, since I got involved I’ve never been so busy, I just love it, it’s fantastic. It’s really changed my life. It’s got me out the house and doing things I never ever thought I would do.”

Members of the Longbenton Local Conversation

“There’s been a lot of investment in North Tyneside recently, there’s a new shopping centre and some of the older houses have been knocked down to make way for new homes. The look of the area has been improved but it’s all been happening around the local community rather than involving us.

"Through the Local Conversation, we’ve set up a steering group, made up of local residents, and we’ve been working hard to identify common concerns, strengths and opportunities in the neighbourhood. Everyone is really getting stuck into the project and already people are building stronger friendships. From the start, there has been such a great level of enthusiasm; residents are really keen to create lasting change.”
