Three Holes Village Hall and Playing Field

21 October 2014

“We live in quite an isolated village where it is difficult for some residents to get around because of disability issues, financial constraints or transport limitations. We think the new club is a real chance for local people to get together and build stronger community links, and also means people can see films we will all enjoy in a social and relaxed atmosphere.” Hilary and Brian

When the village came together to watch an amateur film about their 2012 Jubilee Celebration, local residents decided that they’d like to see more films at the hall. It would mean they wouldn’t have to travel the seven miles to the nearest cinema, and they could choose exactly what was shown. And not only would they screen films – they would make them, too!

Run by local volunteers, the film club is using funding from the Trust to coordinate monthly film screenings, run training sessions for people who want to learn how to make their own films, as well as providing transport to the club for those that need it.
