Carers Week 2012 - In sickness and in health

28 February 2012

The Carers Week annual survey is out and they need your help

Carers Week 2012 (18-24 June) will monitor the impact social care cuts have had on those who provide unpaid care in the UK through our national research. The survey will question a sample of the UK’s 6 million carers about their caring role. Recent research showed that carers manage to save the Government £119bn a year, yet receive little support themselves.  The theme for 2012 is "In Sickness and in Health" and your answers will help to highlight: How much caring impacts on health and wellbeing;  How much spending cuts to local services impact on health and wellbeing; and what could really make a difference to the lives of carers. This survey is open to every carer in the UK, so please tell other carers about it, and help to ensure that carers voices are heard loud and clear.
