Civil Society Strategy

08 August 2018

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) has today launched its first Civil Society Strategy in 15 years.

The Strategy sets out a long-term vision for the Government’s work with civil society. It aims to build stronger communities by bringing businesses, charities and the public sector together, and put communities and charities at the heart of decision-making.

The government’s Civil Society Strategy was formed following an open consultation with the sector. We responded to it and would like to thank again all of the Trust-funded groups who fed their ideas into our submission.

The Strategy contains a series of announcements - some of which repeat existing commitments, and some are committing to new initiatives.
