Local Society Lottery HealthComplete awards good causes money in Lincolnshire

Three projects in Lincolnshire have been awarded funding by the People’s Health Trust.

Communities across England, Scotland and Wales are starting to benefit from the £50 million a year good causes money raised by local society lotteries through the new Health Lottery.

Through the Healthy Places Healthy People grants programme, the People’s Health Trust is working with HealthComplete society lottery to fund activity to reduce isolation amongst older people, provide support for informal carers, particularly young adult carers, and support local projects that help create healthier environments and communities.

Three projects in Lincolnshire have been awarded funding by the People’s Health Trust.

  • Funding of £60,000 has been awarded to Dementia UK to support carers through the recruitment of an Admiral Nurse in Wellingore, bringing specialist support to a further 70- 100 families per year, as well as sharing best practice/ skills with other professionals.
  • Funding of £43,357 has been awarded to Sustran’s Active Travel for Health programme in Lincoln which will work to get more children to cycle to and from school.
  • Funding of £37,500 has been awarded to WRVS to support their Home from Hospital service in Louth.
