Small Charity Week 2018

07 June 2018

Small Charity Week is fast approaching with six days of themed activities planned across Great Britain.

The week, which runs between the 18 and 23 June, is organised by the Foundation for Social Improvement (FSI) and celebrates and raises awareness of the essential work that small charities do.

Across Great Britain, there will be a series of activities and initiatives to support and raise awareness of the thousands of small charities that, every day, make a huge difference to communities.

People’s Health Trust supports small charities to ensure that local people remain in control, and are equipped with the skills, experience and resources necessary to keep increasing the resilience and capacity of their neighbourhoods.

At a time when less than half of local charities are confident of survival beyond five years, it is more important than ever to highlight their invaluable contribution and showcase the impact they have collectively.

As well as celebrating the invaluable contribution that small charities make to communities, the campaign aims to improve the support, representation and sustainability of small charities.

There will be a lot happening throughout the week, including an event to support engagement between small charities and policy makers and influencers, and FSI’s Small Charity Big Impact Award.

There are a number of ways that groups we work with can get involved including free advice sessions and social media competitions.
