Small Charity Week approaches

08 June 2017

This June, People’s Health Trust will be celebrating Small Charity Week.

Small Charity Week, which takes place between the 19 and 24 June, is organised by the Foundation for Social Improvement.

The campaign celebrates and raises awareness of the essential work of the UK’s small charity sector, and the invaluable contribution they make to the lives of millions of individuals, communities and causes across the UK and the rest of the world.

The week is organised as a series of activities and initiatives to support and raise awareness of the hundreds and thousands of small charities that, every day, make a huge difference to vulnerable communities right across the UK and the rest of the world.

In addition to celebrating the contribution that small charities make to communities throughout the UK and across the world, the campaign aims to: improve the knowledge, representation and sustainability of small charities; highlight the work of the small charity sector to the broadest possible audience; encourage public giving; and work with the small charity sector to develop political engagement at a national and local level.

There’s loads of ways you can get involved – and there’s even competitions on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to help raise the profile of small charities with cash prizes for the winners.
