Trust appoints a new Chair and Board of Trustees

Professor Jennie Popay has been appointed to chair the People's Health Trust.
Professor Jennie Popay, who has been studying health inequalities for forty years, both in the UK and internationally, has been appointed to chair the People's Health Trust.
Jennie is Professor of Sociology and Public Health at Lancaster University. She has been involved in research and policy development aimed at reducing health inequalities through community action for more than forty years working in academia, the voluntary sector and the NHS.
Of her appointment Jennie said: “The People’s Health Trust has an unprecedented opportunity to work with communities to identify and fund local action to tackle health inequalities across England, Scotland and Wales. We will ensure that local people have a real say in how this fund is spent to improve health and wellbeing in their neighbourhoods.”
