Update on Covid-19 (Coronavirus)

17 March 2020

We know that these are hard times for communities. We are committed to supporting you as best we can. We have set out some of the ways we can help here.

Delivering your project - we are aware that the delivery of your Trust funded project is very likely to be disrupted by the Coronavirus (Covid 19) pandemic and this is intended to give you guidance on how to manage your grant during this difficult period.

Your workers or staff – if your staff (whether employed or self-employed) need to self-isolate, we are entirely supportive of you continuing to pay them during this period (even if they cannot work remotely). Your usual sickness pay policies should apply if they are ill.

If delivery of the project or activity is suspended then your first actions should be to check if the worker is eligible for any support from the newly established Self-Employed Income Support Scheme. An alternative may be welfare payments, such as Employment and Support Allowance. You should also notify the Trust of your decision to suspend your funded activity immeidately.

If this is problem, please let us know.

Your planned activities – we know that this pandemic is very likely to affect your planned activities and what you do and we are supportive of you doing what you need to do with your communities to support them.

Financial – you may wish to use some of your grant differently during this difficult time. If this is the case, let us know – we will be supportive of you doing this.

We remain committed to reducing the number of people affected by Covid-19 and have asked all staff at People’s Health Trust to work remotely (from home). For the time being this means we have limited access to phones. Our enquiries line, 020 8123 1591 or [email protected] remains open and managed and you can email your contact at the Trust.

We are here to support you as best we can.
