Joe Leigh: Trustee

Joe is an accountant, (Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) from a mining village in County Durham and spent most of his career as a public sector executive director mainly in the NHS. He has lived and worked in the North East and North West of England, London and Scotland and currently lives in York. He is the independent member of the Audit and Governance Committee for City of York Council and the Localism Act Independent Person. He is also a Friend of both York Minster and York Archaeology Trust and a member of the York Civic Trust.
He has a range of Non-executive director (NED) experience on not-for-profit boards: grant making with the Family Fund and Two Ridings Community Foundation; an NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) vice-chair; a social housing ED and is a Further and Higher Education College Board member. Other experience includes professional standards and ethics roles related to both accountancy and NHS clinical professionals.
