People's Health Trust is a founding member of Health Equals - a group of people and organisations who want equal opportunity for health and wellbeing, for everyone.
This five-year initiative, funded by the Health Foundation, is working with a membership of 29 organisations from across different sectors and building blocks of health – from housing and employment, to education and the environment who all want to make a positive different to society’s health and wellbeing.
Through powerful and evidence-based campaigns, Health Equals wants to shape a new public conversation about health and wellbeing, and influence national policy to prioritise health in a way that recognises the importance of the world around us.
Health Equals launched the Lives Cut Short campaign in March 23 to call attention to the inequalities in life expectancy across the UK.
