Last year, the Department of Health and Social Care launched a new inquiry to improve the health and wellbeing of older people. The Committee has now published People's Health Trust's evidence, submitted in August 2025 following consultation with our network of experts by experience.
In December 2024, People’s Health Trust responded to the Change NHS consultation, calling for primary prevention to be at the heart of a strategy surrounding the new Ten-Year Plan.
In May 2023, the government announced a call for evidence for the major conditions strategy seeking views on how to prevent, diagnose, treat and manage the six groups of health conditions.
The Department of Health and Social Care is developing a cross-government, 10-year plan for mental health and wellbeing for England. In June 2022, People's Health Trust ran workshops with funded partners to get their views on prevention, support and promotion.
In November 2021 the Trust responded to a consultation from NHS England and NHS Improvement’s new Core20PLUS5 approach for reducing health inequalities.
In May 2021 People’s Health Trust was invited to respond to a Health Foundation consultation on how best to place health at the heart of England’s recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.
In March 2021 the Trust responded to the Office for National Statistics’ consultation on a new Health Index to say it welcomed this.
In April 2018, People's Health Trust worked with the groups it supports to contribute evidence about civil society.
In November 2017, People's Health Trust worked with groups it supports in London to contribute evidence about health inequalities in London.
