In November 2021 the Trust responded to a consultation from NHS England and NHS Improvement’s new Core20PLUS5 approach for reducing health inequalities.
We strongly welcomed the new approach. We encouraged a greater emphasis on social determinants of health within the Core20PLUS5 guidance alongside clinical outcomes.
The Trust also advocated for a diverse range of voluntary and community sector organisations to be closely included within Integrated Care Systems. We believe that genuine coproduction and coordination with community groups is key to the success of any intervention seeking to reach and support a target population group.
