People’s Health Trust is delighted to be awarded funding by City Bridge Foundation to deliver a significant new programme in London focusing on children and young people’s mental health.
As part of its Strategic Transitions Award, City Bridge Foundation has awarded People’s Health Trust £850,000 to partner with community-led expert organisations who are supporting children and young people in London with mental health problems.
The funded programme will build further evidence of the positive impact that projects designed by and for children and young people have on their health and futures. People’s Health Trust will announce details of this programme in the weeks ahead.
This funding will further People’s Health Trust work to make vital contributions to children and young people with the highest levels of need. If you would like to support the Trust to expand this work and reach even more communities, we welcome conversations with trusts and foundations, philanthropists and corporate organisations to discuss how we can work together.
People’s Health Trust Chief Executive, John Hume, said:
“People’s Health Trust welcomes City Bridge Foundation’s funding to improve the mental health of children and young people in London who deserve the very best of starts in life where increasingly this is not the case. We’ve heard first hand that many children and young people feel confined by anxiety and worsening mental health which can impact the rest of their lives – job prospects, social connections and financial stability – leading to a cycle of poor health and worse quality of life. City Bridge Foundation’s funding and our expertise working in communities to improve health outcomes ensures that we will reach children and young people in London who are most in need of support to reduce mental health problems and support them into better futures.”
