Max Rutherford

Max joined the Trust in 2022. He leads the trust’s programmes, research, communications, and public affairs activities, and is deputy CEO. Before joining the Trust, Max was Head of policy and practice at the Association of Charitable Foundations, where he led its Stronger Foundations initiative. He previously worked for the Barrow Cadbury Trust where he led its criminal justice programme. He served as a member of the Charities SORP Committee for three years, and as a trustee for three charities, including vice-chair of Revolving Doors.
