Organised by The Voice cLoud, Wings Great Yarmouth is a community based cultural arts project that supports people who have experienced or been affected by traumatic sexual harassment and intimidation.

Wings Great Yarmouth

Wings Great Yarmouth provides an opportunity for people with experienced traumatic sexual harassment and intimidation to support one another through discussion and the creation of art.

It will provide fortnightly sessions where participants can share their experiences in a non-judgemental setting and work towards delivering performances to the wider community which represent the groups' experiences of harassment and fears about safety.

The project also aims to create a network of safe public places – hotels, shops and other public buildings - where women and anyone else affected by sexual harassment and intimidation can go in an emergency.

“It’s not necessarily like therapy – it’s a way of interacting without the violence or abuse coming to define us or our lives. It gives the people who are in violent or abusive situations an outlet that they might feel they don’t have when they’re at home.”
